ADJUSTMENTS
The adjustment is a safe, natural, noninvasive procedure used by the chiropractor to restore and improve health. Learning the art of adjusting is a skill that requires years of study and practice. Chiropractic doctors are the only health care professionals trained to deliver the chiropractic adjustment.
Myofascial Release
This is a manual, hands-on therapy performed on the patient’s muscles, ligaments, and tendons. Specialized stretching and myofascial release techniques are applied to the muscles in order to relax muscle tissue, promote circulation, increase range of motion and flexibility, prevent fibrosis and adhesions within soft tissues, enhance muscle function, and break up scar tissue within muscle fibers.

Therapeutic Stretching
Therapeutic stretching is important to prevent scar tissue and adhesion formation following injury. Stretching is most effective when initiated early on in the treatment plan before scar tissues become permanent.
Dry Needling
Dry needling is an effective treatment for chronic pain (of musculoskeletal origin) with very few side effects. Our dry needling certified chiropractic physicians are highly-trained and committed to excellence and quality care for all patients.
What is Dry Needling? Dry Needling involves the insertion of a thin filament needle to stimulate the healing process of soft tissues (muscle “trigger points”, fascia, tendons and ligaments, etc.). The result of dry needling is pain relief and restoration of healthy physiology.
What is the difference between Dry Needling and Acupuncture? The objectives and philosophy behind the use of dry needling is not based on ancient theories or tenets of traditional Chinese medicine. The methods of modern dry needling is based on Western Neuroanatomy and modern scientific study of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems. Both Dry Needling and Acupuncture do, however, use the same tool; a solid needle filament.
Cupping
Dry cupping is a form of oriental medicine that can be dated as far back as 300 A.D. Traditionally, cupping was done using a small flame to create suction within a glass or bamboo cup placed on the skin. Our practice uses a more controlled and modern method using a plastic cups and a suction pump.
Current research suggests that cupping helps to loosen muscles, restore range of motion, encourage blood flow and sedate the nervous system. Cupping is typically used to release chronic stress and tension on muscles.
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization
IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) is a technique used to break down scar tissues and fascial adhesions in soft tissues. These scar tissues and adhesions form due chronic injuries which have already gone through the body’s natural healing process. This process can cause restrictions in movement and create pain. IASTM provides the body with controlled micro-traumas which stimulates the body’s natural healing process and reorganizes scar tissue cells to better facilitate movement. This technique is commonly used for back pain, neck pain, muscle strains, ligament sprains, tendonitis, plantar fasciitis and IT Band syndrome.
